What Customers Say About Milwaukee 48-11-2232 Value Pack 18-Volt 2.4 Amp Hour NiCad Slide Style Battery, 2 Pack:

I had two of these, both look like new as I lightly use them. One died. The other still working. Manufacturer's defect is the only reason I can think of.
Dewalt seems to last on a average of 6 to 8 months, where Milwaukee seems to last nearly 18 months before needing replacement. Batteries are as good as they make. I own several cordless tools and found the milwaukee to me the easiest on batteries. I use mine alot so your results may very. The new Ion technology is promsing and I hope in the next 5 years to see batteries that will last extend periods of time without quiting
The batteries seem to work as the originals. The price of the two pack is much cheaper then purchasing them separately at your local home improvement stores.
These batteries are steady performers and help to give my 18 Volt tools "second-life" after the factory original batteries wore out.
At current prices you can get the superior Li-Ion V18 batteries and a new charger for about $20 more than this pair. Upgrading is the way to go at that price. The new charger will charge Li-Ion and any old Ni-Cad 18 volt Milwaukee batteries you still have.
